Ghanaian YouTuber and influencer Wode Maya has received a remarkable honor in Nigeria — a street named after him in Lagos. The gesture recognizes his positive impact through storytelling and digital influence across Africa.

According to reports, the street was named in appreciation of how Wode Maya’s videos significantly boosted visibility and sales for a Nigerian real estate company, helping them sell out their houses and apartments.
Wode Maya, visibly humbled, shared photos of himself beside the “Wode Maya Street” signage, expressing his gratitude to Nigerians for such a rare honor. “I’m now officially a Nigerian bro,” he joked, celebrating the unity and love between Ghana and Nigeria.
He was joined by Nigerian YouTuber Steven Ndukwu, who accompanied him for the unveiling. The naming process reportedly went through an official application and payment procedure — a standard requirement in Nigeria when naming streets after individuals.
Wode Maya’s recognition marks another milestone in his journey as one of Africa’s leading content creators, known for bridging cultures, telling untold African stories, and promoting collaboration between nations through digital media.
