Sad news has hit the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club family following the tragic death of the senior brother of midfielder Samuel Tenedu.
According to reports, Tenedu’s brother, who had returned to Ghana from abroad just five days ago for a short holiday, was killed by unknown persons at his residence in Obuasi Asonkore on Tuesday. The shocking incident has left family members, friends, and the football community in deep sorrow.
Details surrounding the killing remain unclear as authorities are yet to officially comment on the circumstances or identify the perpetrators. The incident has, however, sparked concern among residents in the area, with many calling for swift investigations to bring the culprits to justice.
Following the devastating news, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has granted Samuel Tenedu permission to leave the team’s camp to mourn with his family. As a result, the midfielder will miss Kotoko’s crucial clash against Dreams Football Club scheduled for tomorrow.
The club, teammates, and supporters have rallied around Tenedu, offering heartfelt condolences and messages of support during this difficult period.
