Togolese international midfielder Samuel Asamoah is reportedly battling for his life after suffering a serious neck fracture during a recent league match. The horrifying incident occurred over the weekend when Asamoah collided mid-air with an opposing player while contesting for a header.

According to medical reports from his club, the 30-year-old sustained a cervical spine injury that has left him at risk of permanent paralysis. Doctors have confirmed that the next few days will be crucial in determining whether he will regain full mobility.
Asamoah, who plays for FC U Craiova 1948 in Romania and represents Togo’s national team, was immediately rushed to the hospital after collapsing on the pitch. Emergency surgery was performed to stabilize his spine, and he is currently under intensive medical supervision.
Messages of support have flooded social media from fans, teammates, and fellow African footballers, praying for his full recovery.
The Togo Football Federation has also issued a statement, urging supporters to keep Asamoah in their prayers and promising to provide every possible support for his treatment and rehabilitation.
This tragic incident has once again raised concerns about player safety and medical preparedness in professional football.
