Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, has heaped praises on Ghanaian music star Stonebwoy for being honored at the 4th Annual Music and Business Brunch organized by Howard University and the Warner Music/Blavatnik Center for Music Business in the United States.
Appiah described the recognition as “a proud moment for Ghana,” applauding the dancehall and reggae icon for his relentless hard work, consistency, and commitment to promoting Ghana’s image globally.
“It takes total hard work, great music, and dedication to achieve international recognition. Stonebwoy is one of the few Ghanaian musicians pushing Ghana’s culture and flag globally; he deserves everything he’s achieving now,” Appiah stated.
This milestone not only highlights Stonebwoy’s musical impact but also reflects the rising influence of Ghanaian culture on the international stage. The celebrated artist has been instrumental in putting Ghana on the global entertainment map through his hit songs, international tours, and powerful collaborations.

The honor also comes at a time when Ghana is riding high in both entertainment and sports, with the nation looking forward to making history at the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
