Ace Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has expressed outrage over the tragic deaths of potential military recruits following the recent stampede at the El Wak Stadium.

In a heartfelt post, the GHOne TV General Manager called on authorities to modernise the country’s recruitment processes to prevent such needless loss of life. According to her, the tragedy was entirely avoidable if Ghana adopted a more efficient and transparent digital system.
“It’s 2025, and young people are still dying just to get recruitment forms? This is heartbreaking. Let’s modernise our recruitment processes!” she wrote.
The incident, which occurred during the Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise, left at least six people dead and dozens injured. The victims, mostly young women, were reportedly caught in a massive crowd surge as thousands gathered to secure a chance at enlistment.
Public figures, including Nana Aba, have since joined citizens in calling for accountability and technological reform in how the military, police, and other state institutions handle recruitment drives.
