Kumawood actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has revealed that he will go ahead and release his much-anticipated movie featuring the late legendary musician Daddy Lumba, despite earlier cautions from the veteran himself.

According to Lilwin, production of the film began before Daddy Lumba’s passing, and it was one of the most emotional projects he has ever worked on. He described the movie as a “tribute to a man who shaped Ghanaian music and inspired millions,” explaining that he feels obligated to share the masterpiece with the world in honour of Lumba’s legacy.
Speaking in a recent interview, Lilwin said:
“Daddy Lumba himself advised me not to rush it, but I believe the time has come. The movie is a blessing to Ghana and a gift to his fans.”
The project is expected to blend comedy, music, and drama — highlighting key moments inspired by Lumba’s life and influence on Ghanaian entertainment. Industry insiders believe it will become one of Lilwin’s biggest releases yet, drawing massive attention from both Kumawood and music fans across the country.
Fans on social media have already begun expressing excitement, with many describing the collaboration as “a dream come true.” The film’s official premiere date is expected to be announced soon.
