British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has stirred excitement by suggesting that a potential clash between heavyweight giants Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could take place in Ghana.

Speaking on future fight possibilities, Hearn emphasized the global appeal of such a historic matchup and expressed interest in bringing the bout to Africa—specifically Ghana. The promoter noted that Ghana’s rich boxing tradition and passionate fan base would make it a fitting stage for what could be one of the biggest fights in modern boxing history.

Anthony Joshua, who has Nigerian roots, remains one of the sport’s most recognized figures, while Tyson Fury, the self-styled “Gypsy King,” continues to dominate conversations as a reigning heavyweight star. A showdown between the two would not only capture global attention but also shine a spotlight on Africa as a major boxing destination.

While no official negotiations have been confirmed, Hearn’s remarks have already fueled excitement among boxing fans in Ghana, a country that has produced legends such as Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey, and Joshua Clottey.

If realized, the fight would mark the first time two British heavyweight champions meet on African soil, potentially echoing the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in 1974.
